Adjusting Length of Web History
I can't figure out how to adjust how long my web history is kept. It seems to be on a default setting of current month + past month. I would like to maintain it for current month + past year. Any advice?

- There is no longer a user-settable time limit setting in Firefox 4 and newer versions for History. You can not set how long to retain History after Firefox 3.6.x.
- Firefox determines automatically how many pages can be kept without affecting the performance of Firefox based on your system's resources.
- You can see the current value via the read-only pref places.history.expiration.transient_max_pages on the about:config page. If you try to reset the value, it will automatically reset to the best calculated value so as to not degrade Firefox's performance.
- You can reset the no longer used browser.history_expire_days* preferences from older Firefox versions to remove them on the next start.

You may need to update some plug-ins. Check your plug-ins and update as necessary:

If you keep losing older history then see if you have cleanup software running that removes that history on a scheduled base.
Unfortunately or not, I upgraded a while back to v 9.0, so I suppose I'm stuck with the automatic feature. (Ideally, I would like to save 12 months plus current month.) If I increase my cache space, will more history be saved? If not, is there any way to export or save history?
Naw, thanks, but already thought of that.
